Q: Please state your name, the name of your companies and the nature of your business?

A: My name is Cierra Walker, and the name of my companies are:

Bmore Boujie Hair Lounge (Hair Salon) and Yahweh Yireh Outreach Ministries (Nonprofit organization)

Q: How did you come up with that beautiful name?

A: Bmore is a nickname name for Baltimore which is where I am from. Born and raised in Baltimore Md. Boujie is what people normally think of me before getting to know me. So I put the two together.

Yahweh Yireh means God provides.  I found a way to let the people know that it’s not me, but it’s actually God that is providing for them.

Q: What made you want to start your business?

A: I wanted to start my own business because I wanted to gain independence. I’ve always been driven by my desire to be my own boss. Passion is also a reason. When I am doing hair, it doesn’t feel like work because I love what I do. And lastly the financial opportunity that comes along with starting my own business.its an awesome opportunity to build not only wealth but generational wealth.

Q: What makes you stand out from the competition?

A: What makes me Stand out is my heart for the community. I also use my God given talents to be a Blessing. I host Back to school events and Easter events where we provide free hairstyles for underprivileged kids.

Q: How did you find out about Daughters of Zion SBA CNPP?

A: I was doing some research on the SBA website, and they directed me to Daughters of Zion. Best thing that could’ve happened to me.

Q: What would you say to other business owners about why they should become a part of the Daughters of Zion SBA Community Navigator Pilot Program?

A: Daughters of Zion is the place to be. There’s no better feeling than to be supported, pushed, and mentored by God lead people. D.O.A genuinely wanna see other business owners win, and will help them. This is rare. God sent.

Q: What is the greatest testimony you have witnessed from your business?

A: The testimonies of the mothers and children we serve in the community. It’s not about the money all the time. Being able to make someone feel like a million bucks even when they can afford it…. Warms my heart every time.

Q: What’s something vital you want all the potential clients out there to know about you?

A: I would want my potential clients to know that I’m not your average cosmetologist….it’s important that I provide the best hair care that you need as a individual.

Q: Let me ask you some fun facts about yourself. What is your favorite food? What is the most interesting thing people wouldn’t know about you? What is the name of the last dog you named? What is something you can’t stand to go without?

A: My favorite food is Marshmallow Fruit Loops. I had 12 fingers when I was born. My current dog’s name is ‘cookie’. I would die without my phone.
