As part of our follow-up to the progress the Daughters of Zion SBA CNPP grantee is making within Memphis, Shelby County, and beyond- we are highlighting the weekly Entrepreneur of the Week Award. Jammie Jubirt was chosen as entrepreneur of the week, and when asked why, Dr. Gerald Kiner, Ph.D. declared “ Jammie, without a shadow of a doubt, is one of the best nail techs in the United States of America. Whenever she does my nails, they are the most healthy, the most shiny, and make me the most happy. Whenever she does not do my nails, my nails are peeling, dry, and my fingers don’t look the same. Jammie’s talent combined with her products makes for some of the most healthy nails you will ever experience. Jammie is the utmost professional. Being in her company is so pleasant because she relaxes you with her convenient services to come to you. She is always courteous. She is always exhibiting the best characteristics that you could expect from an entrepreneur. In a crowded field, Jammie stands out heads and shoulders above many others throughout America, if not all. I am so happy and proud to have Jamie Jubirt as the entrepreneur of the week because it has been long overdue. I am so ecstatic and honored to be able to make this announcement celebrating our 42nd DOZ CNPP Entrepreneur Of The Week – Jammie Jubirt owner of Eye 4 Nails Mobile Salon on Wheels.”

Q: Please state your name, the name of your company,  and the nature of your business?

A: My name is Jammie Marie Jubirt and I am the proud owner of Eye 4 Nails Mobile Salon on Wheels.

Q: How did you come up with that beautiful name?

A: I just felt like I had an eye for it. I felt like it was a dream and there it was Eye 4 Nails. I was made for the name and the name was made for me.

Q: What made you want to start your business?

A: After so long, I got tired of working for different people. I wanted to be my own boss. I like the beauty industry. My sister works in a salon and she does hair and I would be in the salon painting toenails when I was younger and painting her nails. I said “you know what this is something I like to do” so I went to school for it, always had an eye for it, and is something I loved as a little girl.

Q: What makes you stand out from the competition?

A: I am a natural nail tech. I try to take care of my clients and keep everything natural and healthy. I do not do all the other different things other people do so I just feel like I stand out for just being natural, making the clients feel good, and keeping everything safe.

Q: How did you find out about Daughters of Zion SBA CNPP

A: I found out through the church I attend. Pastor Kiner would be talking about it on Sundays about having business owners’ Masterclasses on Saturdays.

Q: What would you say to other business owners about why they should become a part of the Daughters of Zion SBA Community Navigator Pilot Program?

A: It’s great. It gives you opportunities to be your own boss. The person who is giving the grants away- Dr Kiner- he is an awesome guy.  He is willing to help anyone who wants to be their own boss and own their own company. He is willing to go out in the community to help even with the kids just to get everyone on board to help people become their own bosses.

Q: In closing, what’s something vital you want all the potential clients out there to know about you?

A: I’m a hard worker. I love my clients. I do a great job at what I do and I take care of my clients.
