FBI opens first Memphis office in over 30 years

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the first time in 31 years, the FBI has new home in Memphis.
On Monday, the agency opened the doors to a new facility.
The FBI Memphis’ office held an open house at its new location on Germantown Court in Cordova. Leaders said the upgraded space will help improve investigations and modernize operations across the Mid-South.
“As we focus on the violent crime reduction,” said Terrence G. Riley, FBI Special Agent-In-Charge at the Nashville Division, “it allows us the opportunity for collaboration with our state, local and federal law enforcement partners — as we’ve been doing all along, especially with the Memphis Safe Task Force, in addition to the violent crime reduction here.”
