First Alert Forecast: Warming trend finishes September; rain chances kick off October

MONDAY: A nice way to start off your work week; a dry, warm day with a mix of sun and thin clouds overhead. Highs reach the middle 80s with light winds. Elevated fire danger remains a concern due to dry air; avoid outdoor burning if possible. Lows dip into the lower 60s overnight under mostly clear skies.
TUESDAY: After several seasonable days, temperatures begin climbing with mostly sunny skies as southerly winds return. Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90. Humidity levels remain seasonably low; but will bring to increase amid the south breezes. Lows start trending upward, in the middle 60s, under mostly to partly clear skies.
EXTENDED: Heat builds mid-week with highs reaching the lower 90s. Many hours Thursday will be dry – though, it begins a multi-day rain threat into the weekend as tropical moisture moves into the Mid-South. Expect rounds of rain and storms, mainly Friday and Saturday. A cold front clears the rain by late Saturday, dropping highs into the upper 70s by early next week for a more seasonal start to October.
