By Jodi Foster on February 26, 2024

Memphis, Tenn— Continuing their success from 2023 as one of the most successful CNA programs and Family First Grantees in the state of Tennessee, Daughters of Zion’s William and Johnson Career College held a Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA) enrollment orientation on Friday, February 23, for their March 4 CNA cohort, which turned out to be a rousing success. Seventeen inner-city Family First participants completed all of their extensive prerequisite paperwork to qualify for enrollment, and they couldn’t be happier to be enrolling in the CNA program specifically through Daughters of Zion which saw 97% of their students successfully complete and graduate from their CNA program in 2023.

Kalisha Mosley

Kalisha Mosley mentioned that she chose Daughters of Zion’s William & Johnson Career College CNA program because the organization is “well-known in the community for helping people and doing great things like they do with their Homelessness Food Truck.”

Tia Hennings

Tia Hennings shared that she learned about Daughters of Zion’s CNA program through Facebook and was impressed by “all the positive reviews”, prompting her to join.

Sherterikia Bowen

Sherterikia Bowen, also discovering the program through Facebook, expressed her ambition to start her own healthcare company after graduation and saw participating in the program as the initial step towards achieving that goal.

Ashia Parker

Ashia Parker cited the program’s free cost as her primary reason for joining Daughters of Zion’s William and Johnson Career College, highlighting the opportunity for a fresh start and a better career. She emphasized her excitement to be part of Daughters of Zion, as it is both free and government-funded, unlike another program she was considering that cost $2000.

Pamala Smith

Pamala Smith, who works for Daughters of Zion’s All About You Home Healthcare company as a Personal Care Attendant, proudly informed the other 16 students that they couldn’t have chosen a better school to attend. She mentioned that they all could potentially be hired to work for All About You Home Healthcare, as she explained that Daughters of Zion ensures all their staff are extremely well compensated and taken care of.

Regardless of the reason, one thing is for certain all of the students attending the orientation seemed delighted, motivated, and inspired to be there and those ingredients are all recipes for success.
