
Fees increasing for certain auto licenses, county clerk says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – New and amended rules for the Motor Vehicle Commission will be going into effect in mid-September, the Shelby County Clerk’s Office said Monday.
“The most notable change to the Motor Vehicle Commission’s rules is the increase of certain license fees,” the county clerk’s office said.
Listed below are the licenses, their previous fees and their new fees:
- Salesman License – Old Fee: $35 | New Fee: $50
- Dealer License – Old Fee: $400 | New Fee: $600
- RV Dealer – Old Fee: $400 | New Fee: $600
- Dismantler/Recycler – Old Fee: $400 | New Fee: $600
- Auctions – Old Fee: $800 | New Fee: $1,200
- Manufacturer/Distributor – Old Fee: $1,600 | New Fee: $2,400
- Manufacturer Representatives – Old Fee: $400 | New Fee: $600
- RV Manufacturers – Old Fee: $1,600 | New Fee: $2,400
- Manufacturer fee per franchised dealer – Old Fee: $50 | New Fee: $75
These increased fees will go into effect on September 15.
