MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A child who was reported missing for two weeks was found on Monday by the Memphis Safe Task Force, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The agency says the child was reported missing on October 12 and recovered by the task force in Shelby County on October 27 after developing information through various leads.

Since October 1, when the task force was created, the USMS says 143 juveniles have been reported missing in Shelby County. However, the child found on Monday was the 84th safely recovered juvenile.

They also say several of these children have been found out of state.

“The Memphis Safe Task Force is committed to using every resource available to locate and recover missing and endangered children,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller, Western District of Tennessee.
