Tennesseans have two weeks left to apply for federal assistance for April storms, FEMA says

The deadline to apply for assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency is Tuesday, August 19, at 11:59 p.m.

 

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Tennessee residents who were affected by a series of severe storms in April 2025 now have two weeks left to apply for federal assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Residents in the following counties are eligible for individual assistance:

  • Cheatham
  • Davidson
  • Dickson
  • Dyer
  • Hardeman
  • McNairy
  • Montgomery
  • Obion
  • Wilson

Applicants can receive several services to assist in their recovery, including rental assistance, home repairs, and personal property replacement. Those who wish to apply can do so on FEMA’s mobile app, apply online at the link, or apply by phone by calling 1-800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. and midnight Eastern Time.
