FedEx sues MyPillow over $9M in unpaid shipping fees

by:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — FedEx filed a lawsuit against Minnesota company MyPillow, claiming they are owed nearly $9 million for shipping services.

In a lawsuit, FedEx accused MyPillow of violating the terms of a shipping services contract with the company, which was established in 2021 and was recently revised in 2024.

The Memphis shipping giant says that MyPillow “substantially” slowed paying its invoices in September 2024, and despite multiple promises to pay by owner Mike Lindell, and many suggested payment plans, late fees increased.

The lawsuit states that as a result, FedEx placed MyPillow’s account on a cash-only basis and stopped shipping for the company altogether in December 2024.

MyPillow was sent a written notice on January 13 advising that its shipping accounts with FedEx would end altogether in 30 days due to non-payment of outstanding invoices. FedEx said in the lawsuit that they demanded payment of the invoices totaling more than $8.5 million at the time.

FedEx claims that MyPillow has not made any payments since the January 2025 letter. According to the lawsuit, My Pillow now owes FedEx over $8,800,000 and continues to accrue late fees.

MyPillow owner and political activist Mike Lindell is famously known to be an ally of President Donald Trump. Notably, he was among many Trump allies who advanced claims of fraud in the 2020 election that were rejected by courts, according to Reuters.

In 2021 Lindell created the “Prove Mike Wrong” challenge as part of his efforts to establish that former President Joe Biden owed his election win to foreign interference.

We have reached out to Mike Lindell for comment but we have not yet heard back.
