Grizzlies sign Pippen to multi-year deal

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Preseason standout Scotty Pippen Jr. is staying with the Memphis Grizzlies for the long term.
Pippen was inked to a multi-year deal on Tuesday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reports.
Pippen had been on a two-way deal, restricting how much he could play with the Grizz in 2024-25.
Now, Pippen will say goodbye to the Memphis Hustle and will be apart of the roster to start the new season.
Pippen played well in 21 games with the Grizzlies last season, averaging close to 13 points per game.
But it’s been his play in the preseason that earned him a spot with the club, scoring more than 10 points and 4.5 assists per contest in just 20 minutes per game, while shooting 37.5 from three.
The Grizzlies open the regular season on Wednesday, October 23 when they head to Salt Lake City to take on the Jazz.
