Here are the number of COVID-19 cases across the Mid-South

This is a look at where Shelby County, as well as Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas, currently stand for COVID-19 cases.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Health Department reported 364 new cases and two new deaths as of April 22, 2023. That makes a total of 301,611 cases and 3,672 deaths in the county since the pandemic began.

There have been 92 pediatric cases tested within the last 14-day period.

Tennessee

The state of Tennessee reports an average of 317 new cases per day and less than one new death per day for the week ending April 22, 2023. There are a total of 2,537,265 cases and 29,475 deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic.

Mississippi

The state of Mississippi reports, as of April 17, 2023, a total of 997,683 cases and 13,443 deaths in the state since the beginning of the pandemic.

Arkansas

The Arkansas Department of Health said so far in 2023, there have been a total of 26,493 cases and 297 deaths, according to the latest update, released on April 25, 2023.
