Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s this weekend with a heat index over 100 by the weekend and early next week.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —

What you need to know

  • Mix of sun and clouds for the next several days
  • Highs in the mid to upper 90s with a heat index over 100
  • Rain chances near zero for the next seven days

We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds today as temperatures climb to the low 90s this afternoon. Humidity won’t be as high, so there won’t be a heat index today. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with lows in the 70s.

High temperatures and humidity will both increase through the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds. As more muggy air moves in, the heat index will climb to near or over 100 degrees by the weekend.

Hot weather continues next week with highs in the mid to upper 90s and a heat index over 100 on Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances will remain near zero, but there could be a quick shower or storm at some point next week.
