
Breakdown of events happening for 35th Southern Heritage Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – We provide a schedule of events for the 35th Southern Heritage Classic taking place on Saturday
The Classic Tailgate begins at 8 a.m. at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium parking lots and Tiger Lane.
Penny Hardaway Memphis District Golf Classic will be at the Tunica National Golf &Tennis.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. It costs $500 per team.
All participants will receive a golf shirt and gift bag with premium items.

The Orange Mound Community Parade will begin at 9 a.m.
The parade route is along Park Avenue from Haynes Street to Airways Boulevard featuring area high school marching bands.
Whitehaven High School with host the Classic Battle of the Bands beginning at 11 a.m.
It will be outside at their football stadium.
The competition will feature the best high school show bands in the region with show-stopping dance routines.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of.

The Classic Fashions & Brunch presented by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc, will be at The Guest House at Graceland.
The brunch starts at 11 a.m.

As for the main event, the Southern Heritage Classic Football Game kicks off at 6 p.m. at the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
Tickets range from $53 – $23 plus service charges.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will go against the Tennessee State University.

Lastly, the SHC attendees will be able to stay after the game to listen to the Classic 5th Quarter presented by the FedEx Employees Credit Association.
This is a grand finale for the Southern Heritage Classic football game featuring a battle of the bands: UAPB’s Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South and the TSU’s Aristocrat of Bands.
