Buckner claims victory in Shelby County Sheriff’s race

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Anthony Buckner claimed victory Thursday in the Shelby County Sheriff’s race over Brad Less.
Buckner, the Democratic nominee, is the county’s Chief Deputy. He first joined the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office back in 2001 and was promoted to the rank of Chief Deputy by Sheriff Bonner in 2023.
