Downtown Memphis Commission opens applications for new President/CEO

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Downtown Memphis Commission is looking for a new President/CEO, and applications are now being accepted.
The DMC needs a new president after the recent election of Paul Young as the next Memphis mayor.
According to the job posting, the required qualifications include at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred), minimum 10 years’ experience relevant to the position, minimum 8 years in supervisor/management positions, and more. “We are expecting significant interest in the position,” said current DMC board president Benjamin Orgel in a news release. “Our process will be fair and open, with the goal to identify the correct person with the vision and skills needed to lead the work to develop a Downtown for everyone.”
The application window closes Nov. 10, 2023, and the new president is expected to start Jan. 1, 2024.
