Emergency warming centers available across the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – As wintry conditions moved in Sunday, emergency warming centers have opened up across the Mid-South.
A warming center at the Hospitality Hub in Memphis will be open all day until Thursday, Jan. 18.
There will also be two location opens to accommodate more guests:
- Single women and families will stay at the Hospitality Hub (590 Washington Ave)
- Single men and couples will stay at the Dave Wells Community Center (915 Chelsea Ave)
Transportation to both locations will be provided by MATA. You can call 901-297-1680 during Warming Center hours to request a ride.
IDs are not required and sack meals and blankets will be provided while supplies last.
Daughters of Zion at Jesus People Church will open a 24/7 warming center starting Monday as it is set to remain open over the next 10 days. The church is located at 4400 Hickory Hill Road in Memphis.
Arkansas warming centers:
- West Memphis: First Baptist Church located on North Missouri Street (from 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15-8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17)
- Marion: Matt Sample Youth building, 81 Military Road (from 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15-8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17)
- Poinsett County: Harrisburg Community Building (Call the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office at 870-578-2116 for more information.)
- Trumann: Stepping Stone Sanctuary, 904 Speedway St.
- Fisher: Methodist Church Youth Center
- Harrisburg: Community Building, 203 W. South St.

- Olive Branch: Crosspointe Church, located on Blocker Street
- Southaven: Community Safe Room, 7312 Hwy 51 N.
- Clarksdale: Clarskdale Civic Auditorium, locked at 506 E. 2nd Street
- Marshall County: Holly Springs Multi-purpose Building, 235 N. Memphis Street, Holly Springs
