Meharry Medical College expanding into Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Meharry Medical College is expanding into Memphis.
The Nashville-based private, historically Black medical school is partnering with Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, which recently unveiled a $310 million mixed-use development to its 23-acre Midtown campus.
In April, Meharry acquired four medical clinics in Memphis, previously owned by Sanita USA, Inc. Those clinics are now part of the Meharry Health Network.
Meharry and Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church will hold a press conference Monday morning to provide more details on the partnership.
Memphis Mayor Paul Young, Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, and U.S. Representative Steve Cohen will be among those in attendance.
