MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis in May announced Thursday it has sold its downtown office building to Memphis Tourism, but employees will stay in their current offices.
Memphis in May said it sold the building on Front Street to Memphis Tourism, allowing the tourism agency additional office space. The main headquarters for Memphis Tourism will remain at 47 Union Ave., which is currently under renovation. That is set to be completed in June 2024.
Memphis in May said it will keep its headquarters at the 56 S. Front location as a tenant, maintaining its suite of offices.
“This move is viewed as a win for both organizations, bolstering the financial resources and ensuring the longevity of Memphis in May in the community, while giving Memphis Tourism the ability to utilize two floors of unused space,” said a statement from Memphis in May.
