NEW ORLEANS — In his first game in almost eight months, Ja Morant scores 34 points including the game-winner… at the buzzer as the Grizzlies beat New Orleans 115-113.

After sitting out the first 25 games of the season, Morant was electric in his season debut. He scored 13 points in the third quarter and 14 points in the fourth to help the Grizzlies rally from 24 points down to knock off the Pelicans.

“Feel like it was the perfect ending, perfect day. Being able to come back and play and also delivering a game-winner for us to win the game,” Morant said. “Over this little time, I’ve been putting a lot of trust in God even more. Getting closer with God. I know he has a plan for me and I feel like it’s all already written. I’m just letting him lead me.”

Morant finished the night with 34 points, six rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

He’ll make his home debut Thursday night when the Grizzlies take on the Indiana Pacers.
