Fire burns out after gas line rupture causes huge flames in Collierville

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Around 8:20 p.m., a ruptured gas line caused a fire on Bailey Station Road between Winchester Road and Houston Levee Road, according to Collierville Police.

The fire burned out around 10:20 p.m.

MLGW is on the scene, and the gas has been shut off, according to Collierville Police.

Power is out at Central Church and other nearby businesses on Winchester.

“The road will remain blocked a little longer as Collierville Fire & Rescue checks the area further,” said a statement from Collierville Police around 10:30 p.m.

MLGW said they will assess the damage and determine the cause.

Collierville Fire and Rescue did not order any evacuations.
