CNA Students from Collierville, Orange Mound, East Memphis, South Memphis, Whitehaven, Frayser, & Raleigh flocked to the Daughters of Zion’s June CNA Orientation.

MEMPHIS, TN — Tennessee Department of Human Services grantee Daughters of Zion operates one of the most successful CNA programs in the state of Tennessee graduating a record 55 students in the past year. The program continues to trend upward. Their CNA program stands out as a beacon of excellence in the state, producing an astonishing 55 graduates in the past year alone. This program’s success has continued to soar, drawing aspiring healthcare professionals from all corners of the county. Friday, May 24, 2024, their June CNA orientation hosted students from all across Shelby County. Many of the students have been waiting years to enroll in a CNA program but when they heard about Daughters of Zion’s William and Johnson Career College, from either coworkers, recent graduates, or via family, friends, or the media – they knew their wait was over.

Amber Carter, a mother of three who lives in Collierville, said after waiting a while to choose a CNA school, she picked Daughters of Zion’s William & Johnson Career College because the staff was “helpful” and made everything “easy and comfortable.” She plans to become a traveling RN after obtaining her CNA license.

Adrienne Briggs, a mother of three from Orange Mound, whose two children graduated from Overton and one from East High, has been waiting 7 years to enroll in a CNA program. She said she was impressed by the staff being “very concerned” about helping her get enrolled and not focused on the money like most other CNA programs. She described the enrollment process as “quick and filled with great information.”

Kieosha Valdry, a mother of four from Frayser who had been waiting over 2 years to enroll in a CNA program, applauded the staff for “their patience” during the enrollment process and for its efficiency.

Latora Williams, referred to the CNA program by a co-worker and a mother of three from Raleigh, has been waiting for a few years. She described the staff as “awesome,” liked everything about the enrollment process, and called it an “easy process.”

Lauryn Jones, a mother of two from East Memphis who plans on becoming an RN after obtaining her CNA license, has waited 5 years to join a CNA program. She appreciated how the staff quickly resolved her problems during enrollment, saying, “If I came across any problems, they were able to find solutions.”

Jerrisha Minnis, a Whitehaven resident and mother of one, after trying for two years to enroll in a CNA program, found Daughters of Zion made her enrollment process a breeze. She had personal contacts for her needs and always received a response, additionally noting the enrollment process was quick and detailed. She sees herself becoming an RN after graduating from Daughters of Zion’s William & Johnson CNA program.
